Is this a competitive event?
Prizes will be awarded to top participants in each category, and commemorate medals will be given to all participants.  We encourage parents, children, and spectators to remember that the goal of the Decorated Hat Parade is for members of the community to gather and have fun celebrating the July 4th Holiday, whether your child does or does not win a prize.

What if it rains?
If it rains on July 4th, the Decorated Bicycle Parade would be postponed until Saturday, July 6th at 10:00 AM.

How will I know if it is postponed?
Visit www.westgoshen.org after 9:00 AM to find out if it has been postponed.

Are there any safety precautions we need to take?
Make sure that any decorations do not impede your child’s vision, have the potential to get caught in bicycle spokes, or do not make your child’s bicycle (or other category) too difficult to ride.  Children on bicycles must wear bicycle helmets to participate.

How do I register?
Email the West Goshen Park and Recreation Department at klehr@wetgoshen.org with your name, address, ages of children participating, and categories by Monday, July 1st.  You may also indicate if you would like to receive future emails from the West Goshen Park and Recreation Department.
