The West Goshen Park and Recreation Board voted at its March 18, 2009 meeting to encourage any participants attending a free township event bring a dry good for low-income residents of Chester County. Collection barrels will be set up at plays, musical performances, The Easter Egg Hunt and Decorated Hat Parade, Harvest Day, etc. to collect soap, toilet paper, diapers, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, and other toiletries. The donations would be distributed to the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Coatesville.
The Park and Recreation Board reiterates its commitment to offering high-quality free entertainment to the Township’s residents, while providing the opportunity to help some of the County’s citizens in need.
